Your church faces a huge challenge every day. How do you encourage, train and equip your congregation to share Jesus with others? And how do you find people who are seeking and are at the right point to give their life to Jesus? The answer is the church online missions program.
Each day, millions of people go online seeking help with spiritual issues. Global Media Outreach can bring them to your member’s “electronic” front door, train your members to respond online, connecting thousands of people all over the world to Jesus every day. Through Global Media Outreach (GMO) websites, hundreds of thousands of people each day are presented with the gospel in the world’s major languages. GMO was founded to meet these people at the moment of their need, when they are most ready to listen.
10¢ Per Person
The results are unprecedented. Through GMO’s process, we present the Gospel for 10 cents a person. In 2009 alone, more than 10 million people indicated a decision for Jesus and GMO’s Online Missionaries responded to over 1.9 million email requests for follow-up. Now, more than ever, each of us has the opportunity and privilege to help fulfill the Great Commission. How Do I Get Started?
Discipleship: Your church can begin to reach the world by forming a community of Online Missionaries (OM). An online community is made up of 10 to 27 OMs under the supervision of a Community Leader (CL). A CL is a church member with leadership and interpersonal skills who has a few hours a week to devote to caring for the OMs in his/her care.
Seldom does a local church have the opportunity to reach this many people for Christ. As a result of their experience, Online Missionaries have shared that they have grown in faith, prayer life and have more confidence to share the Good News with seekers from around the world.
Evangelism: While the primary role of our church partners is discipleship, we do offer the opportunity to participate in expanding the evangelism reach of the ministry. As exciting as it is to see how many people God is touching through GMO, the reality is we are still only reaching approximately 15% of those searching for answers each day. Your support can help close that gap.
- Always ready will give your church -
- Each gospel presentation made through GMO sites carries with it an investment of 10 cents.
- For every 100 presentations, approximately 15 people will indicate a decision for Christ.

Introduce the program to your church through a video.
GMO will provide a short video introduction to the online missionary program. Your members will discover how, as an Online Missionary, they can share the gospel by responding to 1 to 2 emails a day from their own computer. Encourage your members to pray, share their experiences and respond to questions.
Encourage your members to share the gospel message of Jesus Christ.

Your Training is Provided
Community Leader
Designate a community leader from your membership to help shepherd your church’s Online Missionaries. What does a Community Leader do? The Community Leader encourages their Online Missionaries, answers questions, adjusts email flow and managesvacation requests. Your Community Leader receives specialized training from GMO.
Complete Training Process
Your online missionaries go through both a video training process and then spend 4 weeks under a Training Community Leader to help get them started. Each Online Missionary receives support in responding to emails through response templates, an answers database, an online Bible and the guidance of their assigned Community Leader.
