GMO Founder to Present at IEC Conference
Preparing for the new evangelism revolution

Walt Wilson, Chairman and Founder of Global Media Outreach (GMO), an Internet ministry of Campus Crusade for Christ International, will be presenting at the upcoming Internet Evangelism Conference, scheduled for Sept. 14-15 in Chicago, IL. Two additional members of the GMO Alliance, Dr. Allan Beeber, Director of WorldLINC and Karen Schenk, Managing Director of Truth Media, will also present at the conference.

Topics of the conference will include:

Internet Evangelism and Legal Issues
Privacy Policies
International Internet Evangelism
Online Internet Evangelism Training and Churches

According to a recent study by the Pew Internet and American Life Project, “Nearly two-thirds of online Americans use the Internet for faith-related reasons. The 64% of Internet users who perform spiritual and religious activities online represent nearly 82 million Americans.” The conference will address how to reach people more effectively through the Internet.

Walt Wilson has served on the boards of several Silicon Valley companies and Leadership Network in Dallas, a strategy development organization for the growth of the Christian Church. He was also Chairman of the National Advisory Board for Christianity.com and author of the Internet Church, published and distributed by Thomas Nelson/Word Publishing Company. Wilson is a contributing editor and monthly columnist for Christian Computing Magazine. He currently serves full time as founder and chairman of Global Media Outreach, an evangelistic Internet ministry of Campus Crusade for Christ.
