After the initial success of Global Media Outreach because of ‘The Passion of the Christ’ film partnership, the small team located in a windowless office in California got to work on the technology that would be the backbone of the ministry for the next 15 years.

The software, called ARC, was developed with a focus on creating a secure, user-friendly way for Online Missionaries to respond to people seeking Jesus. Although work is currently being done on a replacement for ARC, it has served us incredibly well for 15 years, securely transmitting hundreds of millions of messages and delivering hope worldwide 24/7/365.

Along with the development of the system, the year also saw exponential growth in indicated decisions, going from about 20,000 in 2004 to over 150,000 in 2005. A key catalyst of this growth was the merger with WorldLINC, which was Campus Crusade’s internet ministry at the time. This merger infused an increase of resources through an established organization and helped create a solid foundation for what would soon be an autonomous ministry.
